Primarily, Scandinavian Log and Timber Works builds in the traditional Scandinavian full scribe style. Each log is notched and scribed to fit the natural contours of the log beneath it.
Also offered is a squared log, chinked-style with dovetail corners. Log or timber roof systems are the perfect compliment to your log home.
We provide various services that are available, including log accent work, log siding, fireplace mantels, log staircases and railings.
Whichever style you prefer, your home will be crafted by hand to reveal the natural character and beauty of each log.
Scandinavian Log and Timber Works uses large diameter wood, ranging from 16-24" on the butt with a minimum 10" top. Species of wood used are red pine, white pine, and western red cedar.
Each home is electrically prepared and fully adjusted for settling. After being prebuilt in the log yard, the home is disassembled and trucked to its destination.
